THREADING

THE INITIAL PLANNING

Threaded pipe is often required for fire protection systems in areas with smaller diameter piping, valve connections, or retrofit work. During the planning phase, we assess your system layout and identify all required threaded joints making sure they’re placed for both accessibility and long-term reliability.

We review thread specifications, pipe schedules, and pressure ratings to ensure each joint will seal properly without risk of leakage. Whether you’re using NPT threads or another standard, we confirm compatibility with your system’s fittings and valves ahead of time.

FROM START TO FINISH

Using calibrated threading machines, we cut clean, consistent threads that provide a tight seal and smooth engagement. Every piece is deburred (burrs removed) and cleaned to prevent cross-threading or contamination. We double-check thread depth and taper against standard gauges to ensure compliance with applicable codes.

Threaded pipe sections are then labeled and bundled by location for ease of installation. We take care to package threads to prevent damage during transport, so what arrives on-site is ready to install without delay. With Caliber, your threaded connections are built to hold under pressure literally and figuratively.
